For the first time, a support system for spa therapists is boarding a superyacht, as you may have heard.

Being a stomatologist and stewardess, I believed there to be a lack of guidance and support for therapists working on yachts because it differs from being on land or a cruise ship from experience and guidance I knew there was a shortage in the industry.

Voyage has created the Superyacht Transition Course for Health and Skincare Therapists, Somatologists, and Cosmetologists with input from professionals in the field.

With the help of this course, you will learn how to work as a spa therapist aboard a yacht, including how to manage a dual role, and learn about the requirements and expectations of the role.

This is in-depth training that has been altered to the standards of yachting. We will train you to deliver the perfect treatments with confidence whilst working onboard a yacht. This certificate will allow you to work on the superyachts with confidence and quality of service.

Who is this course for? 

This course is for qualified health and skincare therapists, somatologist, cosmetologists, and qualified therapists ideal for spa therapists wanting to master both skills yacht spa therapists and stewardesses with gaining all the training to kick off the yachting journey and learn to transition from cruise ships or land-based spas to yachting with accredited institutions and confidence within the industry.

Duration 

The superyacht spa transition course will be done through Voyage International Beauty.

These courses will be done through other institutes and are compulsory to work onboard superyachts:

1. STCW
2. ENG1
3. Stewardesses course (with trusted Training partners)

All theory training should be done online with virtual assistance e from the lecturer before practical training will start.

5 days of practical in-class training

Certification will take place after the theory and practical examination have been completed.

What students will receive:

• A Welcome box including training equipment for all treatments, sanitizer, masks, and consumables.

• The voyage will assist student students with job shadowing placements for case studies

Student requirements 

Our courses are suitable for certified therapists  to train with us.

We welcome students of all abilities, whether you are looking to learn a new skills to work onboard Superyachts and looking to refresh and advance your knowledge of spa operations.

The minimum age is 18

Be on time.

How you present yourself will make a difference in whether you get a job or not in the industry.

Please dress and act as if you are joining a yacht and what you think is appropriate.

Accommodations not provided.

Voyage does have student transport at an extra cost.

Students must have basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Minimum education. Previous schooling and academic achievements are required for entry into this course.
